Bonus Scenes + Wonderful Humans

As promised, some of the more interesting (well, everyday was) moments of my internship (refer to previous posts for better picture):

1/10
So eventful and it's just my first day! Good luck for the next three months.

This is our meeting room, by the way.

4/10
Didn't take longer than the second day of work for my first accident to happen. Some kid on a bike crashed into us as I was attempting a U-turn. Nah. Small problem. Better sooner rather than later.

Damage: dented side and busted wing mirror.

11/10
First site tests without a senior. Result: NOT GOOD

12-15/10
Penang... Woohoo. But a second trip never came. Sigh.

 Be thankful... I'm thankful

Fish, your home! Wakakaka

21/10
Celebrated (er, sort of) my birthday with Ikano at Secret Recipe. Happy~

28/10
Earliest ever finishing time. Also took a piss next to the highway.

2/11
Second day of night shift and this happens. And no, I WASN'T THE DRIVER...

I only told one person about this. You

Damage: considerable enough for us to not see this car ever again

Nah, small problem. It was quite laughable actually. Special thanks to senior Jin, Lim and Chia for coming to help. But seriously, what is it with second days?

4/11
Got "upgraded" to doing KPI tests by chance. Tiring night, but a very welcome change of scene though. The bakuteh wasn't bad, either.

Sorry guys, I didn't see your torchlight the first time

6/11
Cluster drive in a taxi. Interestingly, the driver drove painfully slow but time passed faster than usual. Weird.

Apparently, finding a working NGV pump in the wee hours is pretty hard too. Settled for petrol in the end.

18/11
The cars and the air base... YES

We can go to jail for this, bro...

26/11
First (and only) time going out with Fishy. I once thought to myself, "Damn, I think I'll strangle myself if I ever got teamed up with her". Wasn't too bad. Kinda fun, actually. See, she loves taking pictures. Pictures like this:

I reversed at least 50 metres for her to get this. HA HA

That's a cat. Shitting.

Lesson: get to know people better first before making up your mind about them. You're great, Fishy. Good for Hui =P

29/11
Company trip to Ipoh. I'll say it was a nice time, except the reason for the trip itself. Went in three cars. Our car: seniors Wang, Carmen and Liow, and Ika. Stayed at the Paragon.

That's most of the brothers in our company

30/11
Catched The Next Three Days at 1U after returning from Ipoh.

Totally enjoyed myself today. Thanks~

3/12
New experience: indoor site. FUN

10/12
Can't believe it's over. Personally I would have liked to have continued but we decide as a group, so be it la. Had a final company dinner at Kota Permai GCC.

What's up with the ladies? None of them came. Chua, Carmen, Kelen... Haiz

************************************************************************************************

Now for the wonderful humans part. A real nice bunch. Most are 24.

"Punishment for speeding", says Carmen

Senior Wang is the coordinator for SSVs (site tests), so we do hear his voice quite a lot. Got problems, call him. Uploaded files, call him. Files got problem, he call us. He's placed at Samsung, so we only got to finally see him by the end of Week 3. Looks younger than he sounds =P

Graduated from: MMU
Worked together on: Wang doesn't actually do tests anymore

Hi mum =)

I thought senior Carmen looked kinda old and garang at first, but as time passed she began to look younger and more gentle (then again, maybe it's just me). By now she does look 24.

Graduated from: MMU
Worked together on: 15/11 MOS KPI

Ha... Ha... Curi makan ya

Senior Freddie is abit freaked out by my driving. I level up already la, bro... Haha. Taught me how to do cluster drives.

Graduated from: MMU
Worked together on: 12-15/10 Gelugor and Bayan Lepas clusters

Now that's... Priceless

Senior Jin's one of those that's in charge of clusters. Which means he draws the routes and gives clusters for us to test. And also helps people whose cars end up in longkangs.

Graduated from: MMU
Worked together on: 11/11 MOS KPI
                               16/11 Batu Tiga coverage KPI

Chin Wei is like, "What did I do...?" and Wang is like, "DAI SEI"... Sorry mum

Senior Chin Wei is another cluster boss. He speaks rather slowly and kinda "one piece one piece" (which is quite funny). Which is good. Easy to understand.

Graduated from: MMU
Worked together on: None, but he does give us clusters

Muka action ni... Haha joking joking

We also didn't get to meet senior Tinesh until Week 3. Some call him superman as he can do tests all on his own. Driver pun tak payah. This is one fun guy. Hehe.

Graduated from: UCSI
Worked together on: 20/10 SSV

Thinking of milkshake?

Very friendly is Senior Praba aka Prabhu/Prada. Likes cars, too. You the man, bro.

Graduated from: Andhra University College of Engineering, India
Worked together on: 25/10 Sentul cluster
                               16/11 Batu Tiga coverage KPI
                               18/11 Shah Alam cluster

Yeah... I see the light

Didn't spend much time with senior Poovan but enough to know that he's a nice guy.

Graduated from: SeGI UC
Worked together on: 7/10 SSV

 Ahaha... Kenapa pulak ni?

This is one of our more senior staff, Ryan Gan. Always happen to see him making a cup of coffee.

Graduated from: I have no idea
Worked together on: Too high up to be working together... Haha

Kelen and new trainee Vivian

A security guard remarked that me and senior Kelen look like brother sister. I abang dia adik. 哪里有可能!But I won't mind also la... Hehe

Graduated from: UKM
Worked together on: 29/10 SSV

Erm no, they're not holding hands =P

Senior Chuaaa... She's so pretty... Joined the company about the same time as us.

Graduated from: UPM
Worked together on: None =(

Straight out of a cartoon

Senior Liow, this little guy here... Such a cute little fella. His face is always red and walks around with a funny grin on. Always seen around Ikano... Hahaha

Graduated from: MMU
Worked together on: 5/10 SSV
                               6/10 SSV
                               8/10 SSV
                               11/10 SSV

One is Ika, one is Nur... We call them Ikano... Just ignore the joker in green.

pics from everyone's Facebook... sorry

It's extremely boring here, not being able to meet you people... Let's get together sometime!

... and that's it

Monday
Only one site today with Weng and new trainees Ming Tat and Xavier. They do. We sit behind.

Site 1: Inti University, Nilai

Does food at all campus canteens suck? Somebody prove me wrong please.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Off to a 5-star holiday... Woohoo

Friday
My last ever(?) site tests with Hui, Ming Tat and another new trainee Jing Yi.

Site 1: Pendamar, Port Klang

Site 2: Kg Sg Udang, Klang

Car got stuck in a muddy field. Wonderful.

Got it out with the help of some planks. And a lot of pushing.

Ah, that's it. Industrial training. The end.

Tomorrow's updates: training highlights and the second of ohyake's featured human series... Stay tuned =)

Log: Week 9

Monday
Everyone's in a sombre mood today. I don't think any from our group slept at all last night. It was supposed to be a happy day, with a new batch of trainees coming in to lighten our load. They must have been puzzled as to why we were being so down and unfriendly. Sorry la, but not today okay.

Had lunch, went back to sleep a couple hours and met back at the office around 5pm to attend the service in Ipoh. I'd always looked forward to a "company trip" with all seniors and juniors being together. But not in such circumstances, man. Not this way. Not this way...

Attended the service, had dinner then went back to hotel. Talked about catching the Clasico later, but fell asleep before anything materialized.

Tuesday
Went for the cremation, then lunch, then went back and reached about 4pm. As I was the only one left in Kemuning that day, someone kesian me and ajak watch movie at 1U. Thanks, sis.

Christmas loses its fun this year

Wednesday
Couldn't go out today as our lecturers are coming to visit. Came down with a fever after lunch. Great.

New trainees' briefing. That was us just not too long ago huh.

Thursday
In no condition to work today. OFF

Friday
The Kedah and Perak teams are back already, so everyone's here. Uh. No. Not everyone.
Indoor site (IBS) today with Weng.

Site 1: Low Yat Plaza (the antenna's the little box on the ceiling)

And there were like ten or more of the antennas in the building which made this the easiest site ever. Done at 2pm, no second site, so headed to Midvalley to meet up with Lim and Ong  (they did the Gardens IBS) for lunch before going back.

Yep. So I worked a total of like, half a day this week. And not feeling even 1% good about that.

Friends, treasure whatever time you have with your loved ones. Don't spend your time getting angry or offended or creating a fuss out of little little things. It's stupid.

Dear Aw

I may not know you that well or that long.
But I'm glad we all spent quite some time together last week.
Especially that day in Putrajaya.
I also think I drew you quite accurately. (top row, 3rd from left)
Your favorite shirt was an orange BHP one.
I guess that reflects your character.
Always happy and smiling.
You were too, when I last saw you on Friday night.
Laughing and joking.
That's how we'll always remember you.
